Volunteers from Lazydays and City of Tampa Police Officers Replace Old, Leaking Roof at the R.I.C.H. House
Seffner, FL - (June 27, 2010) – Volunteers from Lazydays and the City of Tampa Police Department teamed up today to replace the old, leaking roof on the R.I.C.H. house, a local safe haven operated by the City of Tampa Police Department where kids can go after school to study and play in a safe, supervised environment.
A Lazydays "Dream Team" of volunteers was joined by officers from the Tampa Police Department and roofing contractor Michael Martin, owner of Curtis Martin Roofing, who donated the professional labor and expertise to the roofing job. City of Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor stopped by to thank the volunteers for helping out in the community.
About the R.I.C.H. House: The Resources In Community Hope (R.I.C.H.) house is a local safe haven operated by the City of Tampa Police Department since 2001. Located in the Sulphur Springs area of Tampa, R.I.C.H. house provides a safe place for kids to go after school to study and play.
